In 2013, the NBC network announced that he would replace Jay Leno as host of "The Tonight Show" when Leno retired the following year. Fallon became the sixth host of the long-running show, joining Steve Allen, Jack Paar, Johnny Carson, Conan O'Brien and Leno.
